Embedded PC - CM02
Active Silicon’s ETXe Vision Systems are based on the COM Express mezzanine standard which allows a wide variety of third party processor modules to be fitted, and uses PCI Express technology for high data rates. The processor module connects to the carrier board which contains all of the I/O interfaces. For volume applications, carrier boards can be customized to provide different I/O interfaces such as Camera Link® and standard analog video or alternatively increase the number of independent GigE Vision™, SD HDI & Firewire ports for multi-camera applications. The key feature with the vision system is that the functionality as well as the I/O connector positions can be fixed for the lifetime of the product and is well suited for OEM industrial, medical and defense applications.

The AVS-104A (Wireless) Network Video Server from Active Silicon is a high performance embedded appliance capable of serving images from up to 4 cameras. Images can be viewed in a simple web browser or any other TCP/IP – HTTP socket aware application, or by using the example console MFC application provided. The AVS-104A unit utilizes 802.11b wireless technology to operate within a wireless LAN environment, with a typical maximum connectivity range of 100m. The AVS-104A unit also contains an auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet network device. The unit can operate using either wireless or wired mode, the choice of which mode to use is managed by the unit automatically:
